Company signs strategic deal with wireless operator |
| Las Vegas-based Shuffle Master Inc. has signed an agreement with a wireless company to develop software to link their respective systems. Ameranth Wireless Inc., San Diego, offers wireless table reservation systems that are used in Texas Holdem poker rooms as well as in restaurants and other retail outlets that have waiting lists. Under the agreement, announced today, the two companies would develop a software interface to link Ameranth's poker room products with Shuffle Master's Deck Mate card shuffling systems. The companies ultimately hope to provide table activity tracking systems for poker room operators. Ameranth also would benefit from Shuffle Master's worldwide marketing network. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ameranth's wireless table reservation systems are installed at the Hawaiian Gardens Casino and The Bicycle Club, two California-based poker Texas Holdem rooms.
