| HOLLYWOOD,
FL -- (Market Wire - Jan 06, 2005) -- Senticore, Inc. (OTC BB: SNIO), a
diversified public holding company, and Pokerbook Gaming Corporation
(OTC: POKG), a poker software company and organizer of the "World Poker
Charity Tour," will be hosting the first large-scale charity
Texas
HoldEm
poker tournament to
benefit children affected by last week's deadly tsunami in southeast
Asia, the largest natural disaster in recent history.
Senticore and
Pokerbook's "World Poker Charity Tour" is designed to benefit deserving
charitable organizations by taking advantage of the world's love affair
with
Texas HoldEm
Poker. The
inaugural event of the tour is expected to be the largest fund raising
poker tournament ever by attracting monetary donations from players from
all over the world as the tournament will be held online using
Pokerbook's proprietary tournament software.
"This is a true
charity
Texas HoldEm
poker tournament
in which the majority of the funds raised will be directed to the
children of southeast Asia, namely India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia,"
said Senticore CEO Jay Patel. "In the aftermath of the tsunami, the
death toll continues to rise. Numerous children have become orphaned and
the need for medical supplies, food, clothing and shelter increases
daily. We are now learning of unscrupulous individuals beginning to
exploit the situation by participating in crimes such as trafficking
these children, who represent the largest group of victims from the
natural disaster. It is our goal to educate the world on what is taking
place by exposing the crimes while providing support to the many
organizations and countries that have already committed large sums of
funding, manpower and supplies."
The World Poker
Charity Tour will be selecting charities that will receive an allocation
of the funds raised. "We have spoken to many worthy charitable
organizations such as Save the Children, American Red Cross and UNICEF,
and will continue to seek additional charities capable of delivering the
support directly to the ultimate beneficiaries -- the children.
Charities selected must agree to allocate as much as 95% of all funds
donated to them to a specified charitable cause," added Patel.
The fund raising
Texas HoldEm
poker tournament
will be held in March of 2005. In order to ensure the overall success of
the project, the organizers seek the aid of corporate sponsors, any
celebrities and organizations willing to assist in the promotion of the
upcoming event, and most importantly, donations and participation from
all the generous people of the world. Interested parties and charitable
organizations should direct inquiries to EG Associates, LLC of
Cleveland, Ohio. Big Circle Media of San Francisco, CA, has also gotten
behind the project and aims to assist the marketing efforts. Additional
information about the tournament can be found on the Pokerbook website
(www.pokg.com) as it becomes available.
