Bob Fornes of
McKinleyville is the 2004 Poker Del Mar Champion.
Fornes recently overcame more than 20 experienced poker players in
Poker Del Mar’s annual no-limit Texas Holdem tournament.
The final table went late into the night with Chris Pence from Arcata
coming in third place and Paris Bauer from Eureka taking a close
second.
Poker Del Mar is a collection of experienced poker players in Northern
Humboldt who gather to practice their skill and engage in excellent
poker every week, according to a news release.
“Good poker is patience; great poker is courage,” it states.
