5 players remain. You're about fourth in chip count. You're on the SB. BB has a bet and some change left. First to act is the chip leader, he raises.
You have three bets and some change left. two players fold to you when you see A Q offsuit. limit hold em. a raise would put you just about all in.
tourney situation, the difference between 1st & 5th is about an $800 dollar question. what would you do here? let me know and I'll tell you what I did.
I think I would fold and hope the BB calls and goes out so you move up in the money.
In hindsight, as everything looks better in hindsight, I foolishly picked this as my hand and raised to 3 bets. Luckily for me though, the BB called all-in. The flop came and a K and some junk fell. I knew it the second I saw it. Chip leader had a K 9s . Came in 4th as he beat me and the BB.
I would love to start a tournament in Atlanta...So are they legal?
Pool tournaments can be found in abundance. My thinking is poker and pool are both games of skill. So,, if pool is legal poker must be also?
Please share your thoughts. Thanks, Mark
They have holdem tournaments in Moondogs (a bar in Atlanta), never played it, so dont know how it works, but I have read signs about them. You should probably ask them.
Does your town/community have a great 'underground' poker scene? do you and 20 of your friends/collegues regularly meet in a basement or bar to play in tournaments?
if you're between the ages of 18-29, MTV is interested in documenting your local poker scene for it's upcoming epsiode of it's True Life series. please send an email with your name, age, location and details of your scene to gambling@mtvstaff.com.
thanks
Yeah, I want my shady poker game on national TV.
you just have to know that they are going to display the cockiest people on this show...i smell a lot of whining coming out of this show...

Hey Johhny,
Where in CT? How much is the buy-in? and how tough is the competetion?
When you dounment my game will you please bring the IRS and the FBI with you too? These games are underground for a reason. I would not even want my face on tv playing cards. This sounds like a bad idea all around. How are you going to keep people from being known?
hey if you did a mtv MADE: i want to be a poker pro.......you could have phil hellmuth jr. as the coach...that would be pretty good!!
i could see phil screaming at the contestant.....NO NO NO dont ever fold that hand!!
