I was playing 3-6 the other day and I couldn't put anyone on a thought much less a hand.
I held AK and the flop came K53 rainbow. I had top pair with the best kicker and I wasn't too worried about the straight. I played it out and ended up losing cuz someone was holding 53. sigh.
Right after that, I held AJ and the flop came AAJ. Okay, this is too good. Who the hell is going to pay me off with this flop? A couple of people actually. The second best hand was J5o. I checked the flop but bet out, raised, and reraised on the turn and then he still smooth called on the river.
The very next hand, I sat out but saw someone else at the table win a hand holding J3.
Is this a new trend? If you hold a J, play it out regardless of the other card? I'm being facetious of course. This was by far the weakest 3-6 table I've ever seen.
Some people utilize the "play any two cards" strategy, maybe that guy was using that strategy and happened to get Jx twice in a row.
It was 2 different guys. But I know what you mean. I know any low limit table is bound to have at least one guy playing junk but this one had at least 3. Makes you wonder how many ridiculous hands you never get to see, huh?
Typical "no foldem" holdem sounds like.
Was the guy that beat you w/ 5-3 playing his big blind into an unraised pot?
