After posting pretty much exclusively in the "Texas Holdem - Live play" forum until now - this place has pretty much become my favorite of the half dozen forums I frequent and so I'm branching out. You'll probably see me all over the various forums in the future...
With that warning firmly established...
Last year I decided that I was going to branch out into tournament play. I've been a live action pro for many years but was encouraged to try my hand at tournaments recently. I just played my first online tournament (I have played three live tourneys since Thankgiving day) and placed 8th. Fortunately for me the tourney paid 8 places.
It wasn't the result I wanted and I could have snuck up a few more places but the money wasn't significant between placements (Until spots 1-3) and so I took a shot to double up and got outran. Ces la vie
