I was playing Texas Hold em with a bunch of friends, not at a casino, so we were unsure about the outcome of the hand. My friend held a 6 and a 5 and I had a 6 and a 4. The community cards were a King, a 6, 8,8, and a 10. The decision was that he won, because his 5 was higher than my 4. My argument was that you can only look at 5 cards, in which case we would draw (6,6,8,8,King). We looked the definition of kicker up and some random website claimed a kicker is the card in your hand, and he took the pot. Who was right?
